Core Competencies
- SAP PLM / Product data processes (end-to-end): Analysis, structuring and optimisation of product-related processes – from requirements to system and process design.
- SAP DMS / Document Management: Design and stabilisation of document-based processes (e.g. document control, filing/search concepts, authorisations, life cycles).
- Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering: Recording, clarifying and prioritising requirements – including translation between specialist departments, IT and external partners.
- Process & integration perspective: Interface and dependency management for PLM/DMS in ERP landscapes – with a focus on robust, maintainable solutions.
- Fit-to-standard & implementation roadmaps: Structured gap analysis, pragmatic solution outlines (standard vs. extension) and clear implementation planning.
- Project work in transformation projects: Collaboration in long-term programme/project contexts, including stakeholder management, coordination, testing and go-live support.
- Enablement & documentation: User-friendly support through clear documentation, training courses/workshops and smooth handover to operations.
- Methodological expertise: structured requirements gathering, process modelling (actual/target), stakeholder management, test concepts (SIT/UAT) and go-live support – with a clear focus on everyday practicality.
Education
- Many years of specialisation in SAP PLM/DMS through continuous project work (including in the role of SAP Senior Business Analyst).
- Methodological focus (project-related): process analysis, requirements management, structured testing and rollout procedures.
- Continuous professional development in the SAP environment (especially in relation to PLM/DMS and product-related document processes).
- ECM & document strategies: Design and harmonisation of enterprise content/document processes (storage/search concepts, metadata, lifecycles, authorisations) – with a focus on governance, traceability and audit compliance.
- CENIT/PLM/EIM environment: Project experience/connections in the context of PLM and ECM/EIM-related solution landscapes (e.g. consulting firm/add-on ecosystems such as CENIT, depending on the customer setup).
- CAD integration & engineering processes: Understanding CAD-related process chains and the integration of engineering data into PLM/DMS – including clean object/document links, versioning and change logic.
- Migration & Data Quality: Methodology for master data/document migrations (mapping, cleansing, load objects/transfer support, validation & cutover planning) – ensuring that product data and documents arrive safely in the target system.
- SAP S/4HANA readiness (PLM/DMS): Fit-to-standard thinking, evaluation of deviations (GAPs) and derivation of a roadmap for PLM/DMS processes in the S/4HANA context (including integration, roles, operation).
With over 20 years of experience in the SAP environment – with a focus on SAP PLM/DMS – Peter Möllenbruck supports companies in designing product data and document processes in such a way that they function robustly, transparently and reliably. His many years as an SAP Senior Business Analyst (SAP PLM/DMS) (including at Zimmer Biomet, July 2012 to March 2025) form the foundation for this.
Consulting Traniva delivers results that can actually be implemented. That is our strength compared to other consulting firms.
Peter’s strength lies at the interface between specialist departments and IT: he translates requirements into clear process and system decisions, prioritises them clearly according to benefit and risk, and creates transparency regarding gaps and fit-to-standard options. In PLM/DMS projects in particular, this structure ensures that document control, lifecycles, authorisations, metadata and integrations do not arise “incidentally” but as a viable overall system.
In projects, Peter typically also covers related topics – such as ECM strategies, CAD integration, migration of master data and documents, and preparation of PLM/DMS processes for S/4HANA transformations. He combines methodological clarity (requirements, blueprint, testing, cutover) with a pragmatic approach to implementation: solutions should work in day-to-day business, remain maintainable and measurably reduce the workload for teams.
Peter supports customers as a senior expert in analysis, design and implementation – with the aim of stabilising product data and document landscapes in the long term and making end-to-end processes from engineering to operation consistent.
